Chairman McHenry brings decades of experience shaping financial policy, including leading the bipartisan passing of the FIT for the 21st Century Act (FIT21) in the House as well as serving as Speaker Pro Tempore of the House in 2023, and will play a pivotal role in enhancing Ondo’s government relations strategy, regulatory engagement, and thought leadership in the rapidly growing tokenized securities sector. His appointment highlights Ondo’s dedication to driving US-led innovation in the digital asset space while prioritizing compliance with evolving global regulations.

“As the tokenization of real-world assets transforms capital markets, we believe thoughtful engagement with policymakers and regulators is critical,” said Nathan Allman, Founder and CEO of Ondo Finance. “Chairman McHenry’s decades of unparalleled leadership in financial services policymaking and his commitment to responsible innovation will be invaluable as we continue to build infrastructure that bridges traditional finance and blockchain technology.”

“The tokenization of real-world assets has the potential to unlock trillions of dollars in value by making markets more accessible and efficient,” said Chairman McHenry. “Ondo Finance has emerged as a clear leader in this space with a thoughtful approach to working within existing market infrastructure. As a policymaker, I focused my work on modernizing the financial markets and positioning the US as the global leader in digital asset innovation. I’m thrilled to join the team and continue this important work with Ondo."

Further, Chairman McHenry will advise on the growth of Ondo’s government relations function, including the expansion of the advisory board. He will also explore opportunities to establish or lead industry coalitions that promote robust policy frameworks for tokenized securities.
