Ondo is excited to announce USDY, our market-leading yieldcoin, is now live on the Aptos blockchain. This launch introduces the first live tokenized US Treasuries asset to Aptos, and is supported by the largest protocols in the ecosystem including Aries Market, Thala, LiquidSwap, and popular Aptos wallets.

This integration brings USDY to a high-performance blockchain built for finance and underscores Aptos’ commitment to leading the tokenization of RWAs on a platform that is scalable, secure, and user-friendly. With over $300m in TVL across multiple blockchains, USDY offers 5.3% APY and enables global (non-US) individual and institutional investors on Aptos to now access the utility of stablecoins combined with an attractive yield and institutional-grade investor protections of traditional finance.

USDY is now live in Aptos’ leading DeFi protocols, which combined represent over $250m in TVL on the network. USDY will serve various use cases, including enhancing liquidity pools by providing a natively yielding asset for trading pairs, serving as collateral on money markets to enable capital efficient borrowing and lending activities, and being used as collateral for Collateralized Debt Positions (CDP) and derivatives. For Aptos users, this means access to a reliable and secure digital asset backed by US Treasuries, offering a hedge against volatility with a dependable yield.

“Launching USDY on Aptos fits our strategic mission of bringing a first-of-its-kind yieldcoin to a high-performance blockchain that’s built for finance,” said Nathan Allman, Ondo Finance Founder & CEO. “We're excited to pave the way for users and developers to expand what’s possible in DeFi on Aptos using our trusted, yield-bearing asset. Today's launch is just the start, and we look forward to USDY’s growing adoption in the Aptos ecosystem.”

“This launch showcases Ondo’s peerless innovation and the introduction of USDY as an institutional-grade asset solidifies Aptos as the premier platform for high-performance DeFi,” said Jerome Ong, APAC Ecosystems Lead at Aptos Foundation. “Millions of dollars in trustworthy, secure, and treasuries-backed liquidity is now immediately available to builders and users across the world’s top Move-powered ecosystem.”
